Introduction
Alcester Grammar is a very successful, selective, rural, Grammar school, providing a variety of courses at both National Curriculum and post 16 levels. The school has a large VI form and offers one of the widest ranges of both 'A' and 'AS' levels in the country.

The school sets out to provide a relaxed and constructive atmosphere, in which pupils are encouraged to develop their individual talents. Since it is a co-educational school, boys and girls are jointly involved in most aspects of school life. We have no doubt that co-education is a fitting preparation for life.

Pupil numbers

There are about 1000 pupils in the school and over 100 staff members, of whom more than 70 are teachers. In years 7 to 11 there are 90 pupils in each year, whereas the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13) has over 500 students

OFSTED Inspection

We were all delighted when the school's Inspection Report was published in March 2006. The school was identified as being 'outstanding'. In the actual Inspection Report inspectors were clear that the school’s aims and objectives are evident in the reality of school life.
