Homework Diaries
The Homework Diary is intended to facilitate three-way communication between your child, you and the school and is an important resource in the daily life of AGS. Please take time to look at your child’s diary regularly and sign at the bottom of each page to indicate that you have seen it, discussed any issues and celebrated commendations. Please check to see if there are
any comments or queries from staff, and feel free to use this space for your own comments. I would also appreciate your support in ensuring that the homework diary makes it in to school each day!
The Lower School Team are as keen as ever to share in your children’s successes and support them in their difficulties and the homework diary is an essential part of this process.
Drayton Manor Park
Year 7 visited Drayton Manor Park as part of their induction activities and enjoyed themselves immensely. They will be providing a Pupil’s Eye View in the next newsletter.
Thinking for Learning
This year, Year 7 learned new skills about how our brain works and how to apply different learning styles according to the type of learner that they are. The Mind Manager software that they practised using can be downloaded from the school's intranet or is available to borrow on CD from the Library.
